The McQueen Family Letters

This website includes over 1000 letters written by the members of the McQueen Family, Pictou County, Nova Scotia, between 1866 and 1930. Five of the six sisters and one brother all taught school for a time and their letters to each other and to their parents offer a fascinating glimpse into the changing options for young rural people in the half century following Confederation.
